This complex includes about 130 tape drives with a Linux system on each one and ~30 Linux servers for operation of Mass Storage solution. The complex is housed in two different data centers. It contains approximately 7 petabytes of archived scientific data used in high energy research around the world. The contractor will work with the Mass Storage system assisting in the daily delivery of storage services. These operational services include: * Perform tape drive intervention mover tasks. Return tape drives and movers back into service. * Perform tape media recovery and cloning. * Perform tape recycle operations. * Perform tape relabel operations. * Perform daily checklists. * Monitor tape media quotas and perform tasks to manage quotas. * Review auto mail lists for faults and perform intervention work as required.
