[LUNI] Scanning reccomendations

I'm no expert, but two that spring immediately to mind would be:
nmap (which should be included in most distros) and
nessus (which will also scan for vulnerabilities and has a gui).
nmap can have a gui too, but the command line seems a bit more powerful.
