[LUNI] newbie NFS configure questions

Linuxdoc.org always helps a lot and I go there first. Accordingly, I had set up my /etc/exports file and rebooted. My problem is that the bootlog shows it being started, but rpcinfo does not show it running.

This is not covered further in the docs. I did learn from further research, however, that NFS in general and SuSE in particular have been having general security issues with NFS. I thought there might be more to it now than is covered in the manual.
