[LUNI] File Size Limitation?

You may be running into the ulimit setting.  See the bash man "page" -
ulimit is a builtin command.

Only root can raise the limit interactively.  That may be enough to get
around your current difficulty, but if not, or to avoid this in the future,
you can change the default setting in /etc/login.defs.

Unless, of course, you really are running out of disk space...
