[LUNI] FYI - Knoppix v3.1 Linux on a CD

I just finished a test run of Knoppix v3.1 (www.knoppix.org).  First 
impressions - boots to X Windows desktop faster than DemoLinux (on the same 
hardware setup).  It detected the sound card (AC97), network card (Intel 
10/100), got DHCP configuration - the whole 9 yards without a single prompt 
for input.  The shutdown process is also elegant - ejects the CD and then 
prompts you hit CR and on doing so it powers off the system.

Other goodies - OpenOffice 1.0, Mozilla 1.0, KDE 3.0.2 plus many more Linux 
utilities.  Requires a 700MB CD media to burn the ISO image.

I suggest you try it out.
