Linux Community:

I have 2 hard drives hooked up on my RH7.2 machine. The first Hard Drive
is:
/dev/hda
   /dev/hda1 /(root) ext3
   /dev/hda2 /boot ext3

The second hard drive is not mounted, but is recognized by the BIOS as /dev/hdc
with 3 partitions:

/dev/hdc
   /dev/hdc1 ext2
   /dev/hdc2 Extended
      /dev/hdc5 swap

I need to remove the second hard drive and reboot, but this causes a kernel
panic. Does anyone know exactly what I could do to remove this without causeing
a kernel panic? Why is it panicking? Beacuse I can't find the boot sector
on drive 2 that was mapped to the boot partiition of the first drive by
Linux System when it first recognized the hard drive?

Please help.
