It is... interesting.  Looks like the burner is sg1 - maybe that's what
throws cdrecord off?  I would think this situation has to have arisen
before, but I don't think I've ever used a cd burner on a machine where it
would be anything other than sg0.

Maybe dev=/dev/sg1:2,0,0 is the answer.  Or just dev=/dev/sg1:@
