[LUNI] Core Dump

This might sound silly but I've seen this behavior when the root filesystem is 
full.  Maybe you installed too many packages during your installation.  If 
you have to, you can boot from removable media, such as your Red Hat 6.2 CD 
using rescue mode or tomsrtbt, to check this.

This brings to mind a principle that I try to apply faithfully: Alway check 
the simplest things first.
