On mine, this is actually a link to /ide1/hdc

and ls /proc/ide/ide1/hdc

gives me:

capacity  driver  identify  media  model  settings

but they seem to all be empty files

# ls -la driver

-r--r--r--     1 root     root    0    March 11 2002 8:31    
/proc/ide/ide1/hdc/driver

# ls -la model

-r--r--r--     1 root     root    0    March 11 2002 8:31    
/proc/ide/ide1/hdc/model
