[LUNI] Computer Shows

Here are two local companies I've bought parts from:

Mark One Computers is one of the local vendors that goes to the COD shows
and has a web business; their site is www.markonecomputers.com.
They accept "will call" orders, so you can avoid shipping charges.

The other local company is Spartan Technologies; their web site is
www.spartantech.com. They also accept "will call" orders.

Both companies are in Elk Grove Villiage.

For my ol' Dell laptop I got a 30gig drive from Dirt Cheap Drives; their
web site is www.dirtcheapdrives.com.

Subject: [LUNI] Computer Shows

(Apologies if this was posted twice--mail is flackey ATM)

I'm looking for some parts, and would rather give my business to someone
other than BestBuy/Circut City/CompUSA. I went hunting for info on computer
shows, and found these two:
  http://www.greatmidwestcomputershow.com/
  http://www.giantcomputershow.com/

Am I missing any others? Are there any half-way decent stores that people
recommend (I know about MicroCenter--good place)?

Specifically, I'm looking for a Celeron 500, a few laptop hard drives, and
odds-n-ends.

I expect this is a FAQ...maybe someone could post a "Good Local Stores" page
on luni.org?

Thanks.
