I got their package about two weeks ago and just ordered the speed upgrate
(additional $5/month) to 1.5MBs (they just reprogram the modem to remove the
600KB cap). Took him about 1 minute to make the change, then when I get home,
supposedly all I have to do is reboot the modem and I'm off.
The service runs $34.95/month because I have their digital cable, so it's still
a bargain. I think AT&T really missed their chance to bring this service into
Naperville.
They're going to be playing catch-up when (and if) they ever get it in place.
Pretty stupid, when you consider they've had about 2 years or so to get the
jump on this when Ameritech owned the cable franchise).
They're probably still holding strategy meetings on the subject :-)
