Hi,

I'm so new to linux that I'm not quite sure what to ask, but after visiting 
boards, archives, mail lists, etc., someone suggested I ask you folks.

I have a used Pentium 200 MMX laptop with a USRobotics/3Com Megahertz 
PCMCIA Fax Modem (model #CC4144)

I bought the box set of SuSE 7.3 and it's not recognizing the PCMCIA card. 
Now, I am shopping eBay for a more modern modem. But in the meantime, how 
can I manually config the modem?

I found this link 
http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/doc/PCMCIA-HOWTO-6.html and I think 
that's what I need to do, but I don't know how to get in there to do the edit.
