[LUNI] KDE vs. GNOME

Do NOT use kde, kde is slow and bloated, although there are alot of
nice apps that gnome does not have. If you must have the menubar
then go with GNOME without nautilus, nautilus is probably worse
than KDE when it comes to using system resources. Windowmaker
is nice, and light, and probably give you the most area for screen
space, not to mention the ease of expanding your desktop2desktop
traversing. Really all you need is an xterminal, there is really
no need for anything else... Unless you just like to look
at menus... and pretty stuff. Mutt, vi, and or emacs are all you
should really need, actually the only good thing about the GUI
is xwindows which allows virtual desktops and a unlimited number
of xterminal windows :0).

I hope to get one sided answer 'cuz i don't really want to try out both, although i have a feeling that there is a fair distribution of both the desktops. If it helps I am a hardcore windows user, and want to completely quit using it. So i will use linux for everything, from developing to listening to music, watching dvds. to surfing... you get the picture.
