This is the Debian GNU/Linux prepackaged version of the newt library.
newt was written by Erik Troan <ewt at redhat.com>.

The package was put together by Enrique Zanardi
<ezanard at debian.org>, from sources obtained from:

newt is available under the terms of the GNU Library General Public

You can get whatever changes the Debian maintainer has made, as well as
the exact original source tarball used to build the Debian package,
from any Debian mirror.  More conveniently for non-Debian uses is the
