[LUNI] FreeBSD rc.d question

I don't know about FreeBSD, in particular, but BSD flavors of UNIX typically 
use scripts in /etc with names like rc and rc.* to start services and 
configure the system at boot.  OpenBSD has excellent man pages that describe 
these scripts.  Try typing "man -k rc".
