[LUNI] Recording sound

Any recommendations on a program to use to record sound so it can be burned
to a CD?  What I am looking to do is play some old LP and Tape Cassettes I
have into the computer to a file (guess wav formate) so the sound can be
burned on a CD to play.  Don't need to do any fancy editing or compressing,
just simple record and then burn.  The burn part I can do just need to
create the file.
