[LUNI] Network help please

I recently installed RH 8.0 on my box.  This box has a Linksys network
card (10/100) using the 'Tulip' driver.  I have the box connected to a
Linksys router for DSL internet sharing.  The router is acting as a DHCP
server.  When the box boots up it hangs at starting "ETH0" for about
2 minutes then it fails.  

Can someone suggest ways to get this problem solved?  I would really
like
to be able to access the web from that box. I know the card and the
router
are working fine because that box is dual boot.  I am able to access the
web when I boot into windows.
