[LUNI] Network help please

Here is what I have done so far:
   1)  For testing purposes, I stopped the firewall on linux.
   2)  I issued "ifconfig eth0 192.178.1.104".
   3)  I was able to ping the Linksys router.
   4)  I was able to ping the other box on the network.
   5)  I was able to ping the linux box from the other box.
   6)  When I tried to access the router via the web browser I get
       this message:
           "The document contains no data".
The message comes up after about 1 1/2 minute of waiting.

Any Ideas?
