Well, or setup a /30 subnet and configure the printer for it.  That was
left implicit, but would actually be the easiest way to handle this if
you can make suitable arrangements.  Okay, maybe it was so implicit as
to be all but invisible.  :-)  Anyway, that could be another solution
if you can get that block of addresses set aside for this use.
