Should have ended long ago.
I always find it entertaining to watch discussions among individuals about how
the law applies to this or that area (see other thread about SCO and Linux as
well). Everyone becomes a Clarence Darrow but no one really understands what
really constitutes the law and how it is implemented in both the courts and the
administrative venues. Then there is the added 'political' environment which
needs to be taken into account in certain venues.
And, of course, there is always the sue, settle for 'nuisance' or 'public
appearance' reasons although the case is substantially unfounded. As well as
the sue to create FUD whether the case is well founded or not.
Maybe some day we will not need all of these laws, and then again, maybe some
day people will look at the whole rather than their selfish individual
interests. I won't hold my breath for either.
