I was doing Web development at the time and my pages looks completely different on a CRT monitor. The surface of the laptop also scratched my wrists when I used it. I solved the problem by covering the problem area with a vinyl sticker. > For servers, I would go with HPaq or Dell. I had a Dell server go south on me twice in a year. It was a catastrophic failure too. The RAID controller went bad and corrupted all of the drives that were plugged into it. This happened twice! I had to reinstall everything. My development server was an HP, no problems at all. Dell CRT monitors are weird, they have wires embedded in the display. Its very annoying because they show up as lines when you try to look at something. Not recommended. -- Kevin Conder, kevin at kevindumpscore.com
