Those Wires mean its a trinitron tube inside.  Its a matter of debate, but
many feel a trinitron tube makes for the best CRT's due in part to the
appeture grill system (which is what is being held up by the wires). For
some the lines they cause are totally distracting, others love their
clarity and cripness of display.
