Back when I still read PC Mag, I considered him one of the most intelligent columnists/commentators in the industry. That is, of course, damning with faint praise, but still. :-) I'm not that concerned about the courts going ape and shutting Linux down. That's highly unlikely. What I AM worried about is PHBs seeing this and turning right back around to Microsoft, because "at least that rug won't be sued out from under us." From a philisophical standpoint, this case is probably the best argument in favor of Open Source ever. (This whole thing is nonsense, go GNU!) From a pragmatic standpoint, it could be a huge PR disaster for FS/OSS, even if we win in court. -- Larry Garfield AIM: LOLG42 larry at garfieldtech.com ICQ: 6817012 "If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it." -- Thomas Jefferson
