Too many distributions to list what their goal is....  But each linux
distribution has a different strength and you could use them in
different areas.

What's the point of Baskin-Robbin's having 31 flavors?  Apparently,
people like variety.

With unix, everyone likes something different with a different end
goal that matters to them.
