[LUNI] (not) your own PDA

I just sold a Jornada 720 (clam-shell formfactor with
3/4 size keyboard). You can run Linux on there... in
fact, I had a daughterboard from HP Labs that had the
2.4.17 kernel on it and some software. It's buggy,
but it would've been cool. I never got around to
installing it.

If you go to handhelds.org, you can find the mailing
list for the project. If you are brave enough to
flash it yourself, you can load the latest distro on
it and it's supposed to be getting rather good now.

WinCE could probably run on anything that had a MIPS,
SH3/4, StrongArm or XScale processor. My nephew's
Dreamcast is powered by CE (which probably explains
why it doesn't work). But, since there's no source
and I don't think you can just download it off the
web, you'd probably have to buy the device with WinCE
already installed.

If you try loading Linux on your Jornada, let us know
how it goes.
