[LUNI] Anybody use Starnet WX? (vs DSL)

Today I learned I am too far from the central office to get DSL.  I presume 
that if one DSL carrier says I am too far, that applies to all of them, right?  


Other than Satellite, which is most expensive, I should be able to get 
Starnet WX, being about half the maximum range from TWO of their antennas, and being 
in a two story house on a slight rise.

Anybodsy have experience with them?  Are they still in business?  Did their 
rates change?  Are they overcommitted and not taking new subscribers?

When I last researched this in March...

In various web pages they mention speeds of "2 mb/s", "up to 1mb/s",  and 
"500 to 1800 kb/s".  What is it really?

Their cost was $100 setup plus $60/month for 2 years, then $40/month after 
the satellite reciever was paid for.  Or $600 one time and $40/month with no 
committment.

Hmm, I wonder if I can buy a used receiver from somebody who had to cancel 
and pay a lesser setup fee (installation only) with no committment.
