[LUNI] DHCP host name - COMCAST - cable modem

Having a cable modem for about five years now (or something like that ....)
in the Chicago area the provider actually changed 3 times (Media One ->
AT&T ->Comcast) -
hope I didn't miss anyone ...

I remember getting some email about 2 (?) years ago that required the use
of a special hostname for the Linux firewall connected to the cable modem -
a friend of mine figured out that all you had to do is set DHCP_HOSTNAME
to the hostname (some alphanumeric string like cb2345677-a)
provided by the cable company. And that took care of the problem.

1. Does anyone know whether the previously assigned hostname cb.....
is still required?
2. And if so how do I determine that hostname? I am going to install IPCop
at a neighbor's house but my neighbor does not have that information and
so I don't know what name I should use. I accessed my own information
on COMCAST's WEB site but that did not show the hostname information.
