No matter what you buy, check on http://www.linux1394.org/ to see how
it works.

One thing you might want to be aware of is if the card provides power
on the bus or not.  There's a few out there that don't.

I bought a belkin one that said "Great for use with the ipod!" on it
since that was my main reason for getting it.  That told me that it
supplied power on the bus.  It also got a thumbsup on the linux1394
site.

The card and ipod works great with 2.4's firewire stuff.  2.4's
support for dynamic scsi devices kinda sucks, but it should be better
in 2.6.  Right now, to unmount/release the ipod, I need to
"modprobe -r"/rmmod the sbp2 module.
