Well, also keep in mind that there are two different thicknesses of
drives as well. I do not remember the sizes off hand, but there is the
conventional size, and a thinner slimline size that is used on some
laptops. If your laptop takes one of the slimline sized hard disks, it
may not accept a conventional size.
