 >>What brand/model (Intel, 3Com, etc.) cards and what drivers

The first was on the system's main board and IPcop (during set-up)
indicated that it was 3Com "corkscrew" Etherlink PCI III/Xl, etc.
and assigned this to the green interface. This one WORKS.

One is a Netgear PCI 10/100. Set-up called this a
Digital 21x4x Tulip PCI and assigned it to the red interface.
The log files indicated a failure to bring up the red interface
on eth1 so I aliased eth1 to tulip (for tulip.o) in modules.conf.

The last is a Belkin PCI 10/100. Set-up program said it was a
ReakTek RTL-8139 and assigned it to the orange interface.
The log files indicated a failure to bring up the orange interface
on eth2 so I aliased eth2 to 8139too (without .o) in modules.conf.
There was also a driver in the driver directory called 8139cp.o
and the Belkin card came with a CD with source code in a Linux
directory and instructions to make a driver called 8139.o and
install it. I wanted to see if I was on the right track before
trying different drivers.
