Make your voices heard by legislators. Critical decisions will
be made
that could future funding for Community Technology Centers.
CTCNet Chicago Colleagues and Friends,
The Senate Energy/Environment Committee has scheduled a hearing
on the
Telecom Rewrite for Dec. 1st at 2:00pm in room 16-503, at the
James R.
Thompson Center
The past two years demonstrated to community technology
practitioners
and advocates that our network must do more than deliver great
programs
and measurable outcomes. We've learned that if we are not at
also
involved in local, state and national policy debates, important
decisions will be made without us.
Join us on December 1st at 2pm in room 16-503, at the James R.
Thompson Center 100 W. Randolph, Chicago
CTCNet Chicago would like to have a good contingent there. We
urge you
to attend the hearing and bring participants. We need to
educate public
officials about CTCs and our value to the communities we serve.
If you have any questions call CTCNet Chicago Public Policy
Chair,
