Sorry, I thought you said in your previous email that it worked from a
different machine.

The only advice I can give is to try 2.6.3 (or the 2.6.4 pre-release). If you
still have problems, try the rsync mailling list:
  http://rsync.samba.org/lists.html
They are usually quick to help out.
