[LUNI] Cingular LaptopConnect

Does anybody have this Cingular broadband wireless access for laptops?? 

Do you know if will work with Linux? (Ubuntu specifically) .. the software
included is windows only (of course) and I asked the guy if it would work
on Linux and (of course) he had no idea what I was talking about. :) 

Or
does anybody have experience with other providers broadband? Verizon?
