If I was going to build something along those lines, I'd much rather
dump a gigabit card in there then a wifi card. Plus I am getting a bit
paranoid about wifi security these days, since it seems both wep and wpa
is crackable relatively easily. (Actually, maybe 2 gig cards and
combine the bandwidth or load balance 'em.... not sure yet.)
I've seen wired products for the 100/10 Base but nothing for the gigabit
one. ie. Harddrive with samba and ethernet card prepackaged.
I'm looking to build something close to that, but instead of a single
160, I was thinking of throwing 2x160 and 2x120 in there and making into
a NAS Raided storage for my home network and then mount all drives using
nfs or sshfs (not sure how well sshfs would work, but nfs is lousy on an
untrusted network).
