[LUNI] Ideas for a web-facing mapping solution

I am brainstorming on how to take address information from a database,
and display those mappoints on a browser-accessible map for an high
school alumni group.  I'd want to host the solution on Linux.  Would
anyone have ideas of Linux-based applications, or a Google Maps
capability?
