[LUNI] Networking question -SOLVED ( I think )

I quit buying Linksys switches as they were too quirky.
Sometimes plugging and unplugging a cable while powered would knock out
the port and the only way to get it back was to power cycle the switch.

I had this problem over the weekend with my only remaining Linksys
switch (will soon be relegated to the junk box as I lost half a day on
it before remembering the problem).  I had connected a 10/100/1000 BT
port on a server to it which it couldn't handle it, even though other
100M switches worked and the card was happy to run at 100M.  After 
switching to the 10/100 port, it still didn't work.  Powering down the
server and plugging into another port on the switch "fixed" the issue.
