It's Brainbench, so it's not really a certification, is more of a
"self-assessment" test.

The bad thing about the test is that is about old bugs in Sendmail, old
attacks such as smurf and ping-of-death, secure networking in Solaris
and other "legacy" unices (I'm being ironic here). No linux. A decent
linux admin should take it. I made a 4.25 which gives me a *Master*
Level in network security... by brainbench standards.
The good thing is that practical examples are in Cisco and ipfilter
syntax, so every human can understand them.

The test are sponsored by CBTDirect, so when you sign up, you'll give
your phone number. The guy from CBTDirect ex Smartforce called me the
next day and tried a lot to convince me that "The market here in the US
is different from you country. You want to be stuck doing side work
forever?... GET THE MSCE!" :)
Take the brainbench test, brag about the result here if you want, but if
they call you, DON'T buy that stuff from the CBTDirect scammers! (or
give a fake number).
