I had recently been asked to put together a method of protecting office
computers from 'unacceptable material' being downloaded either
unwittingly or not, within a local church.
My research had led me to DansGuardian. So I was pleased to see the
posting about ubuntu CE, being a fan of ubuntu, this is a great step
forward.
In years gone by, I had promoted linux to various churches in the area,
quoting the usual 'little risk of spyware etc' but then was dismayed to
find certain issues arise, like the default choices of screensaver
(including a now removed photo slideshow that pulled images off the web
(and yes - at random, so porn ended up in full view)
To have a distro that takes these issues into account is wonderful.
Thanks for posting
