Yup, they're there. In fact, (after a bit of futzing), I can...

root> mount /home/wh/serverhome

and

wh> mount /home/wh/serverhome

And the files on the server share are available for my computing 
pleasure. It's just this stupid bootup error that's driving me bonkers. 
"This didn't happen on my other machine!"
