by bootcamps you mean like New Horizon type of stuff?  spend a week
straight doing cisco doing RH, doing whatever and prep you for the cert?

If that's the case, I'm not sure why you think bad of them, I think it's a
viable solution and it provides a service.  IT professionals need
training, they provide it.  If that's what you're looking for I can give
you some names to talk to.
