Heh, I had the opposite problem. Two solid years of Cisco while I built 
three pops, assorted ospf areas, a full bgp mesh, and managed 9 peers 
and three transit providers at Netzero. I managed a 60% on the CCNA with 
a fantastic 0% on the routing bit. Sure I'd have done better if I had 
actually looked at the book or knew that RIP v1 was classful (egad!), 
but going back to the original point don't assume that certs and real 
world experience have any overlap.
