I'd like to start scanning, storing, and shredding lots of paperwork.
I don't often need the originals, so I'd like to digitize and dispose.

I gues basically I'd like to see an app where I throw a document on the
bed, scan the pages, throw in some keywords and a date, OCR if it can,
and move on to the next document.

Has anyone else done this? I can see how I'd write an app to do it, but
my spidey -- er, reinventing-the-wheel sense is tingling and none of
the searches I thought up and thrown at Google have turned anything up.
I guess I just don't know what to call this kind of software.

I'm also looking for recommendations for a USB scanner. I only need to
scan in grayscale at 300dpi, and scan speed is important as I've put
this project off way too long.
