I love my Olympus Stylus 500.  It's got a relatively large 2.5" LCD screen,
3x optical zoom, 5.0 megapixel sensor, and USB mass storage connection to my
linux box.  Plus it has some cool settings that let me capture images in
different environments.  The only drawback is it's use of xD memory cards,
but right now they are pretty cheap as well.

Amazon sometimes has sales where they sell cameras and give you large memory
cards for free along with them.  I'd keep an eye out for one of those if
you're planning on buying.
