[LUNI] GUI fails to start when restarting etch or ubuntu

You'll need to take a look at your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file to see what error 
messages come up.  Specifically any lines that start with either WW or EE.

However, I did have a situation with Kubuntu 6.10 where it failed to start X 
if I installed Gnome.  I never bothered to figure out the real cause of the 
problem other then uninstall Gnome.  I don't know if this is the same 
problem, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.
