Welcome to the fold!
If you're just learning for you, and you don't care about professional
certifications, I would go to your local community college and see what
kind of Unix/Linux classes they offer. I took two quarters of Unix at
COD, and found it extremely helpful -- plus, it introduced me to Linux
around 10 years ago :)
If you want professional certification to do this for a living, you
could try the RHCT and RHCE courses offered by Red Hat. Not as
comprehensive as the community college route, but more recognized by
industry.
