[LUNI] capturing shell output in a cut/paste buffer

Well, I'm running gnome.  I think it would be nice to be able to run a
command from a terminal window/xterm/konsole and redirect the output
to either the "middle button" buffer or to the ctrl-v buffer (they're
different you know :)

piping it to "mail" is OK if you're using a text based mail program,
but in my case I'm using gmail (via a browser).
