Hey Mike!
I am currently sitting in a silly C++ class at CoD right now. The computer
show had moved to the DuPage County Fairgrounds a couple of years ago, but
since it wasn't as popular as it once used to be, the guy who controlled it
stop. I am the vice president of the CoDLUG and we want it back. Also myself
and another guy with Ubuntu Chicago had spoken to him last year about the
chances of trying to revive it and he was less than optimistic about it. He
said with the Internet and the prices, none of the vendors can come in and
compete anymore. We still do the install fests, actually we are in the
process of trying to improve the organization and the flow of the CoDLUG. The
meetings and install fests are usually one of the last Sundays of every month
in SRC 1544. Here is a schedule of future meetings:
5/20
6/17
7/22
8/19
9/23
10/21
11/18
12/16
All dates are a Sunday and the event runs from 10am to 4pm, and then we
typically go and grab a bit to eat, and possibly even go and crash Frys :)
