[LUNI] restore: tape read error on first record

Hi all,

I have a serious problem as I cannot access critical files on a backup tape.
When I try restore -i -f /dev/nst0 I get:

restore: tape read error on first record

I've tried with three different days backup up tapes and get the same error.  Any help would be enourmously appreciated before I jump out the window.
