[LUNI] WiFi Access Point recommendations

Looking for a wireless router.  I got one from netgear a few weeks ago.
It has outrageous blinking purple led's for no purpose save cosmetic.
But it is in the basement so they're harmless.

This is a second wireless.  I turned off the router part.  
The other one is an old Lucent "office" model.  

Netgear works fine.  I suspect the real issue is which ones to avoid,
most are evolved and polished enough that they just work.
