I can't see any point in putting time and effort into getting Debian
running if Ubuntu configured the hardware and is otherwise working for
you, unless you have a stable full of Debian boxes already or a
corporate policy of using it or some such external.  The point of using
a modern distro is to avoid spending your time on the basics so you can
put it into the valuable work, no?  :-)
